Stampin' Up mini album

There is a very sad story behind this little album. I took photos of it before I stuck my pictures in and then I was going to take pictures again after I had completed it by adding the photos and the journalling. Well I did complete it BUT I found it on the drive this morning, it had dropped out of the book it was in and must have been ther all night in the pouring rain. I made a few observations from this accident. I discovered that Stampin' Up Whisper white ink does not run, that the kraft card stock dries to a lovely rough texture when dried out on a radiator and the Stampin' Up Snail Adhesive still sticks even after it has been soaked!

Mini Train Book

I made this mini album at a crop; it was demonstrated as a make and take. The plastic wallets are badge holders. They were supplied to me, I have had a look around and can't find them anywhere at the moment. Mind you I only looked in the shops, I have not had a look on the internet. The whole thing is bound together with the Bind-it-All with extra pages and tags added. The post card embellishment was stamped on to shrink plastic. It was the first time I used shrink plastic- what fun.

Mini Book

I made this a while ago but had not got round to sharing it. The book is made from one sheet of 12x12 paper!! I got the idea from Scrapbook magazine issue 33. It was great fun to make and only took a few hours.

Finished Santa Word Book

Well here is the finished item! I ended up laminating the whole book because it was not going to last unless I did so!! For some reason I can not post all the photos in one post so scroll down to see some more.

Cricut Expression to cut the word book
White acrylic paint to high lite the edges.
Printer to print out the photos
Christmas swirl - I think this was Basic grey but I can't be sure. Versa mark Water Stamp ink and silver embossing powder to decorate the pages. I also used ruby red stickles to bring out the berries on the swirls.
The stickers are from Bo BUnny a gift of love.
I then laminated the whole thing
It was attached together with ribbon.

Sure Cuts A lot Word book

Well I spent all day yesterday trying to make a word book. I first tried in inkscape, got confused then moved on to SCAL, the went back to inkscape BUT in the end I made this in SCAL. It was a very long winded process!! However next time I hope it will be quicker as I now know what I am doing. Really it needed to be done in chipboard BUT I had run out, so red card had to do. I think once photos are stuck down it will be sturdy enough. I painted white around the edges to highlight them. Over the next few days I hope to show you the finished project.

Been busy

I have been busy, last weekend I went to a local crop. I really enjoyed myself and will defiantly be going again. I have also discovered a new craft shop, however it will be closing on December 15th- I can't believe I had not discovered it before. I bought this Rusty Pickle Halloween kit from the shop. I am pleased with the outcome. I have stolen the pocket Idea and made my own book up.
