Another Bees Wax Card

Here is another card I made using bees wax. The supply list is the same as yesterday.

Bees Wax Art

I thought I ought to dust off my Ranger Melting pot and give it another try. This time instead of experimenting with UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) I thought I would give bees wax a go. I made one heck of a mess, burnt myself quite a lot and shouted at the kids to stay away because mummy would have an accident if they came too close. The backing card is Kraft card stock, the round heart embellishment and the polka dot boarder if from the Adore range from My Mind’s Eye. Somewhere in there I have used a bit of napkin, the rub on is from American Crafts and the lace is from my stash.

Twitter Card Sizzix and Stampin' Up

The bird is a sizzix die. When I showed the card to my other half he asked why I had made a card with the Twitter bird on it... I can see what he means!

Stampin' Up Card Solitude hostess Bundle

A slight variation on the previous two days, a normal gate fold card. I scalloped the edges and the made them meet in the middle with Tempting turquoise card stock. I used the standard index wheel from the hostess Solitude Bundle and ran it down either side using whisper white ink, the little bird also came from the same set.

Stampin Up folding Card

Posted by PicasaI used a 12" x 16" piece of Stampin' Up kraft card stock. It was then scored at 4" intervals and half of the end two squares were cut away. I used the jumbo wheel so swirly and covered the card-stock with it using old olive ink. The mat colours are Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. I then threaded 40cm of ribbon through so the card could  be closed

Thank You Card

It has been a while!! I got a whole load of great Stampin' Up goodies for Christmas, it has given me a new lease of life. I cut out the Background (old book) using the Album Brackets from Sizzix.... Still waiting for Stampin' up to sort themselves out and bring in the top note die in the UK!!!. Inked the edges using walnut stain distress ink, painted a bit of white gesso over the whole thing and stamped the Medallion stamp (again with the walnut stain distress ink). I then stamped the sentiment using Ruby Red ink from Stampin' up ( stamp came from the Say it with scallops set) and used the square scallop to punch it out. Stuck it to a 5x5 cream card, tied a big red satin knot and it was done!!!
