France 2007 scrapbook page

Posted by Picasa

CLICK ON THE PICTURES TO MAKE THEM BIGGER.I enjoyed making this layout. The frame is the outside of a game where the bits had to be punched out. I gave it a few licks of paint and doodled over it. I really dislike my handwriting so I chose to hide the journalling behind the frame The paper is from a Stampin' Up paper pack.

The Big Gap

A layout tonight; this has taken me the past two evenings to complete! I am so slow at layouts.
This is how I did it....
Cut a big scalloped circe out of Basic Gray euphoria paper, it's title is cool. Thought it was too much pattern so cut it in half. Printed out the photos- they were too big so had to do it again. Going well so far!! Painted Scenic Route chipboard circle in blue, painted another one because I painted the wrong sized one!! Still going well. Cut out the the with Big Shot ( go slim alphabet) - no problems there! Found BIG from stash- no idea what it is. Tried to stamp GAP using Penny Black "robust" set, lost the P- found it stuck to the bottom of my shoe. Printed it and covered with glossy accents. Went to bed, got up glued naked chipboard shapes to paper, went to work. Came home and finished it off. All in all my usual routine of making something!!

You two love to walk

The inspiration for this layout was taken from http://scrappyfairies.blogspot.com/. I love Lisa's cards and layouts! I wish I could come up with them as fast as she does ( I have seen her in action). I was taken by the brown paper bag for the background.

Challenge layout - fun

This is a layout I have done for a challenge layout at http://cleocrafts.blogspot.com/ I have kind of followed their sketch but have changed quite a lot to suit the size photo I used.
I am posting this in a rush!, I will add the stash used hopefully tomorrow, I have been so busy the past few days that's why I have not blogged. My Santa book is almost finished and I hope to share it with you tomorrow.

Here is the stash I used.... The rocket paper is basic grey - Oh Baby boy, I cut out the stars and the rockets and inked the edgesThe main background paper is also basic grey but I can't remember which one, I sewed around the edges and distressed them and then finally inked. The FUN lettering comes from Autumn leaves, the office line punch out tags letters A through to Z. I also inked the edges and placed a brad in them and a ribbon through them. The zig zag strip down the edge was originally a Bazzill Basic Just the Edge Card stock strip which I did not have in the correct colour so I inked it with Tim Holtz Distress ink using first the Shabby Shutter and then the Peeled paint. I used white acrylic paint to soften the edges and randomly placed a variety of brad through it.

Breast Cancer awareness

I have joined a team on UK scrappers (Brazzill Nuts) They are a very friendly bunch. I have taken on one of their challenges set by one of the team members. It is all to do with breast Cancer awareness. The Journelling reads...
Jess,
We don’t know what life holds for us.
In years to come I will show you this page.
When you were little it was me who looked
out for your lumps and bumps. Now you
are older and they have grown whether
they are big or small I don’t know, only time
will tell. All I ask is that you now check
for lumps and bumps and keep yourself
safe by checking out any little lump.
Love Mummy
