Today I have been at my quarterly team meeting run by the lovely and talented Amanda Fowler and have crafted non stop, apart that is to have coffee and cake!
I am full of inspiration and just raring to go. Many of the team members demonstrated inspiring projects, we talked in length about the fantastic new catalogue (which I will be able to share with you all on the 1st October 2010!), we chatted, laughed and had such fun!!!
What a fantastic day!!!
As promised the card base tutorial for the base of the cards that I have shown this week.
I had a very useful comment from one of my You Tube viewers. In the first part when I tell you to cut the card by 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" IGNORE ME!! as all you have to do it cut a piece of A4 card stock in half.... was being very thick!!!
Over the next five days I will be posting a variation on the same design of this Christmas card, so be sure to come back for some more inspiration. At the end of the week I will provide you with a tutorial as to how to make the card base.
Supplies:- Real Red card stock, Night of Navy card stock, the sentiment is from the Wondrous Gift stamp set (Buy it now as it is retiring !!!), Winter Post stamp set, silver shimmer paint, heat and stick powder, dazzling diamonds glitter, Very Vanilla ribbon.
This card was made using the Autumn Splendor stamps set
1) On Very Vanilla card stock clear emboss some leaves and acorns
2) Sponge dauber Close to Coco in over the whole thing
3) Sponge dauber Champagne mist shimmer paint over the whole thing
4) Rub over with a kitchen towel to shine up the leaves
5) Screw the whole piece of paper up
6) Flatten out
7) Rip at an angle to fit your card
8)Ink ripped edges with old olive
9) Stick to your card base.
10) Stamp Sentiment ( Say it with Scallops) onto Very Vanilla card stock with close to coco ink
11) Punch out sentiment with square scallop punch
12) Ink edges of sentiment with close to coco ink
See the video below to find out how to make the ribbon flower.
This was not my original idea, I found this idea on You Tube. I think the idea originated from the 2010 US Stampin' Up! convention
I made this card whilst I was waiting for the dinner to cook.
I used the centre in the Medallion background stamp for this card, I pierced holes and then sewed around the circle with linen thread.

Chocolate Chip, Old Olive ink, linen thread, button, Very Vanilla 5.8" Grosgrain Ribbon, snail.
Medallion background stamp, Oval All stamp set, scallop oval and large oval
