Scallop Square Die from Stampin' Up!

I made this rag quilt a while ago and I thought I would share it with you. I can't say it was quick to make because it would be a rather big fib. However, the process was made easier because I cut out all the fabric using the  Scallop Square Die from Stampin' Up!. I was able to cut out five square at a time. The fabric I used was perfect for fraying at the edges to give the rag effect but... it took three washes and several hours in the tumble dryer to get rid of the bits, the house was covered for weeks!

Another Neck warmer

I did not follow a pattern to make this neck warmer. I half double crocheted (I am working in US notation so I think it is double crochet in UK) until the scarf measured 25" x 6.5". I then 4 x HDC in every other stitch all the way round the scarf, slip stitching into the stitch in between to give the scarf a frilly edge.

Lattice Crochet Neck Warmer

I thought I would share my latest crochet project with you

The pattern I used can be found here
Having had such interest in this scarf I thought I would add further information for you. I have not been able to remember the wool or the size hook I used. I made the one bellow using Patons Fab Big wool and a 10mm hook. The pattern was changed, I only chained 20 so the width was 10" and the length was 37". It was so quick to make! I hope you like it!

Mini Flower Tutorial

I have been designing a scrapbook page that I will be making for a class and I came up with these cute little flowers as an embellishment. I thought I would share with you how I made them.

Using the dotted scallop ribbon border punch out a strip
Ink up edges if you wish
Screw up and manipulate the card stock to break up the fibres.

Carefully tease apart the card stock so you will end up with two strips

Roll up one of the strips and stick the end

Squash the rolled up card stock
Add a jewel to the centre
